Dale & I went on a winery "PR" visit during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend...(My favorite part of being his "marketing consultant" )
We started at Argyle..bubbly is always a good start....
Dale's favorite '98 Blanc de Blancs..
Next we were curious to check out 12th & Maple..a cooperative winery in Dundee with a number of different producers showing... We were also on a mission to find a reasonably priced fun white wine for the Steiger Haus honor bar & the Jezebel line from Daedalus cellars was just what we were looking for...
Next stop was NW wine company.. My family has always been a fan of Laurent Montalieu's style of wine-making & since this is his place..& he makes or oversees what goes on here, we found quite a few things we liked. Our faves here "04 Solena Grand Cuvee Pinot Noir & "05 Brooks Amycus
Since it was on the way home, we couldn't resist stopping at Eyrie, a classic Oregon wine producer. Eyrie makes some our favorite food friendly wine. Dale was partial to the "01 Eyrie Reserve Chardonnay.
We had a great time getting out to taste new vintages & visit some new producers.. Oregon is a very exciting place to be no matter what aspect of the wine business you are involved with..
